About us
The Institute of Inorganic Chemistry is located in Gliwice at Sowińskiego Street 11. The Institute was established in 1952 by the Minister of Chemical Industry. The Institute is a research and development unit within the meaning of the Act on Research and Development Units of 15 July 1985.
At present, supervision over the Institute falls within the competence of the Minister of Economy.
Mission
Our mission is to act for the benefit of increased innovativeness and competitiveness of the national economy in the area of inorganic chemistry and inorganic chemical technology by providing expert and competent assistance to enterprises, particularly to small and medium-sized enterprises, and by carrying out in-house research projects.

With its highly qualified and competent personnel continuously perfecting their professional skills, the Institute aims to become a leader in innovative, competitive activities in the European market in the field of inorganic chemical technology and in related areas, such as chemical engineering, chemical safety and waste management.
